Holiday list for 2027 notified: 17 gazetted holidays, three fall on weekends
2027 की अवकाश सूची जारी: 17 राजपत्रित अवकाश, तीन सप्ताहांत पर
Employees may choose two restricted holidays from a list of 34.
कर्मचारी 34 की सूची में से दो प्रतिबंधित अवकाश चुन सकते हैं।
The Department of Personnel and Training has notified the list of holidays to be observed in Central Government offices during the calendar year 2027. Seventeen gazetted holidays have been declared, of which three fall on a Saturday or Sunday.
Employees may avail two restricted holidays from a supplementary list of thirty-four occasions. Heads of office have been asked to display the approved list on the notice board and on the office intranet.
Central Government offices located outside Delhi and New Delhi will observe holidays in accordance with the list finalised by the respective Employees Welfare Coordination Committees.

Offices working on a five-day week will continue to observe Saturday and Sunday as closed holidays.
